Industrial Training course is a mandatory component of Polytechnic curriculum set by the Ministry of Higher Education. Students are required to undergo industrial training either in the private sector or government organization for a period of 20 weeks. During the industrial training, the students are exposed to real-life work situations.
Upon completion of Industrial Training course, students should be able to:
- apply related knowledge and skills at the workplace.
- communicate effectively
- practice teamwork
- demonstrate an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility
- Provide Industrial Training Final report
Industrial Liaison and Training Unit is responsible for managing students’ placement in industry. Students will be attached to a particular organization based on their respective fields of study.
